There goes my minimalist retirement.

I really want to go take all of my pitiful savings out of the bank right now. That makes me a panicky alarmist, yet would be so very comforting. Instead, I think I'll go buy some white wine and sit in the backyard. Imagine if more people handled the financial crisis this way! Think of the level heads that would prevail. Actually, maybe a lot of people spent too much time drunk in the backyard, thus all the foreclosures.
